Most students are starting around the age 4. I have trained as young as 3 and half yr old as long as they are tentative and can follow simple tasks. I highly recommend to join a free trial class to see your child level of interest and engagement.
2 (younger age ) and 3 (older age ) days per week is recommended.
at GeumKang we focus on Taegeuk forms or Poomsae, which are the fundamental patterned sequences of blocks, strikes, kicks, and stances in World Taekwondo (WT) style, consisting of eight progressive forms (Il Jang to Pal Jang).
At GeumKang Taekwondo, we teach the Taegeuk forms under 10 color belts (2 basic forms and 8 Taegeuk)
on average it takes between 20 to 24 months to advance from white belt to 1st black belt.
every 2 month for color belts and every 4 months for black belts (to gain credit for their next black belt).
